Straightener
Very lightweight, with quick heating. I do like this straightener, but I have alot of thick hair so I'm thinking I should have just stuck with the 1 1/2 inch straightener, which I'm ordering now.!

Greatest Iron Ever!
I fell in love with this flat iron from the beginning. It's the only iron I've had that doesn't tear or tug at my hair - very smooth! I would highly recommend!

Fantastic iron when it works
I'm giving this iron a 3 because the heating element went out after 3 months. It had a 1 year warranty so I sent it back and the second flat iron lasted 7 months. I was still within the year so I sent it back again and the heating element went out AGAIN after 10 months. I take very good care of the iron, I do not wrap the cord so apparently there is a legitimate heating element issue or I was given a lemon 3 times.

Not as good as it used to be
My first 2 USmooth hair straighteners were purchased at a in store salon services location and I loved them. I bought my 3rd online and can tell the plastic is cheap and not as sturdy as the ones I've previously used.

Disappointing for price
I have had this iron for less than a year and it no longer heats up. This is disappointing since it is billed as salon quality and gets far less use than in a salon.

I love the usmooth flat irons, but I gave 3 stars, because my new usmooth iron just doesn't work as great as my 8 year old usmooth 1 x 1" flat iron worked, so I'm disappointed that the quality of the flat irons has obviously went down within the past years, and that my 8 year old flat iron works better than my brand new one.
